Weathering steel(corten steel) is best known as "COR-TEN", which is abbreviated as "Corrosion resistance" and "Tensile strength" , so it is often referred to as "Corten Steel" in English. Unlike stainless steel, which can be completely rust-free, weathering steel is only oxidized on the surface and does not penetrate deep into the interior, and has anti-corrosion characteristics like copper or aluminum.

Cold-rolled coils are made from hot-rolled coils, which are rolled at room temperature below the recrystallization temperature, including plates and coils. Among them, those delivered in sheets are called steel plates, also known as box plates or flat plates; those with long lengths and delivered in coils are called steel strips, also known as coil plates.
